i do style

about

I've been passionate about fashion and bridal since a very young age. I used to drape and design dresses on my mom's dress form when I was very young and I started receiving Bride's Magazine when I was 7. I started in bridal by doing wedding makeup in 2000. I always loved working with brides and being a part of their special day. After going to fashion design school in Paris, where I specialized in bridal and evening wear I worked for multiple designers and continued doing bridal makeup. When I met my husband we moved back to NYC. I continued helping brides feel their most beautiful doing makeup and then I discovered bridal styling. Its a marriage of all of my passions and talents. After selling gowns for 6 years, and styling hundreds of brides and debutantes, I started "i do style" an independent styling business taking brides and debutantes visiting NYC on tailored style and shopping experiences.

As a southerner myself I know what it is like to come to NYC, before I moved here my mother and I came from Texas on a shopping trip in hopes of finding my deb gown, white leather gloves, and other outfits and dresses for the many events throughout the season. It was a wonderful and memorable experience that I would not trade for anything. With such an overwhelming number of bridal boutiques and designers in NYC the only thing that could have made that trip better is if we had had someone to tell us where to go, book our appointments, and guide us with styling expertise. It was because of that trip that I was inspired to create "i do Style."  I love what I do and couldn't be happier to share my skill, passion, and expertise with you.
